Servers affected: zapata, ida, ignatz, ali, audre, patrice, richie Date: 2008-07-08 Please see advisory from Speakeasy below. Speakeasy provides our data connection to our Sunset Park data center. They are planning maintenance early Monday morning, July 14 between 1:00 am and 5:00 am America/New_York time.

Servers affected: ida, patrice, ali, audre Date: 2008-07-07 At approximately 7:00 pm America/New_York time on July 4 our Sunset Park office experienced a brief (3 second) brown out causing three servers to reboot. One of the servers (ali, aka c.backup.mayfirst.org) is our off-site backup server. Due to the need to enter an encrypted passphrase to start ali (and the holiday weekend), ali was down until Sunday evening, July 6, around 7:00 pm America/New_York.

Servers affected: viewsic.mayfirst.org Date: 2008-05-19 The web server running on viewsic.mayfirst.org was down between 3:14 to 3:22 pm Americas/New_York time due to a configuration error as we upgraded the SSL security certificates.

Servers affected: malcolm, chavez Date: 2008-05-13 The servers malcolm and chavez intermittently refused secure shell and secure FTP connections starting on Saturday, May 10 and lasting through Monday May 12 at approximately 1:00 pm Americas/New_York time. No other services were affected (mail and web services were functioning smoothly).

Affected servers: malcolm.mayfirst.org Date: 2008-05-06 Yesterday, on May 5, 2008 between 12:37 pm and 1:07 pm Americas/New_York time, the web server and database server on malcolm.mayfirst.org was down because a member's web site was using excessive shared resources (during the 30 - 45 minutes prior to going down, members may have experienced slow downs as well).
